My 1st major project: STICKERS
Daunting. Scary. Oooooo.
I wanted to practice making stickers. Why? Because I've never done anything like this before.
The 1st issue was: Is this going to be traditionally made or digital?
I've had other sticker plans before that I created digitally, but at the time, I was really into creating art that was more tangible compared to digital.

This was a fantastic choice that would help me understand how others can make traditional art and scan it in only using their phone. After taking a picture, I learned that if I held down on the drawing, I could extract a sticker generated by my phone. I used that as the base for the stickers I'd take into Clip Studio Paint.
Now, some of these turned out wonderfully. Others had some chunks missing.
Which led to another learning opportunity.

How do I make edits to a traditional drawing digitally and still have it look like it's still traditional?
Of course, some brushes mimic the traditional textures of watercolor, but if you overuse them, the smoothness of digital starts becoming evident. So there has to be a balance.
Then there is also making a border for them : bleed, outline, cut, which were things that are still in progress.

I had a blast making these, and I still have ideas for them before the finished product is released. I'll make more updates later. ✨
